Yes. In fact, most students choose to purchase this course with the Win the Day program for a well rounded Rescue Swimmer-like training regimen.
If you are seeking to educate yourself further on water-based skills, Hold your Breath (for underwater science/skills) and Perfect Form (for swimming technique) are our most popular classes.
This isn't a "from the couch program", so we expect you to be able to run at least 3 miles from the start of the training. Keep in mind students who have less running specific fitness will likely see a more significant drop in their time after this course. For example, if you currently run the 1.5-mile in around 14 minutes, after completing this course you may drop 2-3 minutes off that time. However, if you are already running around 9-9:30, you may only be able to drop 20-30 seconds (depending on a variety of factors).
A competitive 1.5 mile run time is generally under 9:30. Most military selection programs have a cut off of around 12 minutes. However, you want to be much faster than the minimum!
